Fascinating time travel in Norefjell

Take an adventurous journey through time with the vintage train Krøderen, the turbo boat Kryllingen and the spectacular and charming Villa Friedheim.

Norefjell is home to a string of charming historical experiences – and why not experience three of them in one day?
1: Krøderbanen
Norway's longest veteran railway, Krøderbanen, has a length of around 26 km.
The railway was opened in 1872, and the beautiful steam locomotive pulls the historic teak carriages through the beautiful East Norwegian countryside every Sunday during the summer In addition, a number of thematic days and special events will be held during the summer.
2: Kryllingen
The cosy cruise ship M/S Kryllingen II takes you on a nice and relaxing trip around Lake Krøderen. Sit back and enjoy the beautiful scenery around you and especially Norefjell, which rises above the idyllic lake.
During the summer months, the little ones can join guided "Skip o'hoi" trips, where they can take both a skipper's certificate and a fishing certificate.
3: Villa Fridheim
Villa Fridheim, idyllically located in the middle of the island Bjørøya in Krøderen, is Norway's largest and best preserved wooden house in the elaborate Swiss style – and it's the country's only fairytale museum. The beautiful building itself is like something out of a fairytale, and inside the furniture and decor provide the perfect setting for your adventures among some of Norway's most exciting fairy tales and legends.
The three historical experiences can be visited on different days, but on selected Sundays you can buy one ticket for all three experiences via the Kruederbahn's "Train, Boat and Adventure" tour.
