Nastad Castle is a fascinating recreation of castle culture from the 12th to the 18thcentury. Attention has been paid to detail in every part of the castle, from the imposing exterior down to the smallest piece of fixture, and it is clear that authenticity and accuracy have been the focus of the castle's reconstruction.

A guided tour of the spectacular building takes you on a journey through European history, architecture, art and styles. If you want to delve even deeper into the history of the place, it is possible to book a two–hour guided tour with the castle's builder, Svein Yngvar Dynge.

If you are travelling with a larger group (10–16 people), it is also possible to arrange a special tour with dinner on Fridays.

In Nastadborgen, around half an hour's drive west of Norefjell, you can take a fascinating journey back to the Middle Ages.

Just under three hours' drive from Langesund, you'll find a ski area in a class of its own: Norefjell. With 30 alpine slopes, 200 km of cross–country ski runs, two terrain parks and three children's areas, the area has everything a ski enthusiast's heart could desire.
