Am I allowed to travel?
The Norwegian authorities advise against what they call unnecessary travel activity with the aim of limiting the spread of COVID-19. In Fjord Line safety comes first, we are pleased and welcome the advice from the Norwegian authorities.
Nevertheless, situations may arise where you need to travel. So what does it mean that a country has red, green or yellow zones? To where are you allowed to travel? What precautions should you take?
It is important that you take responsibility to avoid the spread of COVID-19. The rules are clear and simple: keep your distance, wash your hands often and thoroughly, sneeze or cough into your elbow and always pay attention to symptoms of COVID-19. It is very important to follow these rules, no matter where you are.
Travelling to or from a yellow zone will not result in any quarantine. Travelling to or from a red zone will result in 10 days quarantine upon arrival.
Note that violations of the quarantine rules might result in prosecution, fines or other suitable punishment by Norwegian authorities. It is your own responsibility to follow the quarantine rules the Norwegian authorities have at any given moment. You will find more information about this below. You are allowed to make “transit journeys” through red zones, but you only have the option to make absolutely necessary stops in the red zone. Such “transit journeys” do not result in quarantine.
Status in different regions
We at Fjord Line would like to encourage you always to check the “color status” of the destination in advance of your travel. It is important to familiarize yourself with the regulations, rules and limitations of the respective authorities. Status changes often, so always check FHI and politi.dk before you travel.
