Fjord cruise on the winter–clad Nærøyfjord

Flåm lies on the shores of Aurdalsfjorden, and just around the corner lies one of Norway's most spectacular fjords: Nærøyfjorden, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Hop aboard a fjord cruise and have the experience of a lifetime as you sail through Aurdalsfjorden and the unique, narrow Nærøyfjord surrounded by snow–capped mountains up to 1,800 metres high.

The trip is a fantastic experience for young and old as you quietly sail through a landscape that is like something out of a fairytale. Along the way, you'll pass beautiful frozen waterfalls, cosy little settlements, lonely farms clinging to the mountainsides, the idyllic Undredal that inspired Arendelle in the Frost films – and, of course, plenty of unique mountain scenery in spectacular winter clothing.

On the trip, you'll sail on a modern electric ferry designed with inspiration from the surrounding countryside and the area's needle–twisting roads – and, of course, fitted with large windows so you can enjoy the view from anywhere on the boat, whether you want to brave the cold on deck and walkways or stay inside in the warmth.

You can choose to either take a Nærøyfjord cruise round trip between Flåm and Gudvangen or go one way and take a scabintle bus back to Flåm, so you can see the beautiful terrain from the land side as well.
