The impressive railway winds along the steep mountain cliffs on its way from Flåm to Myrdal and rises 866 metres over just 20 km. Flåm lies along the banks of Aurlandsfjorden and just around the corner, one of Norway’s most spectacular fjords awaits: Nærøyfjorden, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Hop on board a fjord cruise and enjoy the experience of a lifetime when you sail through the unique, narrow fjord surrounded by mountain peaks that reach up to 1800 metres above sea level. In fact, Nærøyfjorden is only 250 m wide at its narrowest point.

The residents live like real Vikings and demonstrate their crafts and cooking while telling you about their lives as Vikings. And of course, you can get involved in all kinds of activities, from axe throwing and archery to historic crafts with the blacksmith or seamstress.
