Covid-19 Important travel information

It will always be safe and comfortable to travel with Fjord Line. We place our honor in everything we do. Still, we must encourage our dear passengers that todays situation with covid-19 with constant changes affect you as our passenger.

Face mask

From 22nd of August the Danish authorities have decided that all passengers from 12 years and above, shall use face mask while using public transportation. This implies also for ferries that travels through danish ports and ports outside, including Norway. Fjord Line is therefor under this regulation, as we operate through danish waters and have a terminal in Denmark.

We encourage our passengers to wear your face mask during the whole journey, in situations and on places where there are crowded.

More information on wearing a face mask when travelling with Fjord Line can be found HERE.

Actions taken onboard

When you enter our ship, you will immediately notice that we have done numerous actions to limit the spread of covid-19. We have placed stations with antibac, protective glass between employees and customers, positioned our buffet, adapted our opening hours of serving alcohol and plastic gloves for our guests are just some of our actions against covid-19.

For more information on what actions we are taking onboard our ship and at check-in, read more HERE.

Quarantine rules

The authorities have split countries and regions into yellow and red zones – depending on the amount of infections. If you travel to or from a yellow zone this will not require you to go in quarantine. If the colors changes to red or you travel to or from a red country, you shall automatically go into quarantine for 10 days. If you are travelling from a yellow zone you have the possibility to perform a transit journey through a red country/region. A transit journey does not require you to go into quarantine, but keep in mind that if you are performing a transit journey, only absolutely needed stops are valid.

The color changes happens very often, for updated information please check FHI and politi.dk before you travel.

Free testing

If you wish to test yourself for covid-19 when travelling to Norway, you can do so for free at our terminals in Bergen and Langesund. A test station in Stavanger is undergoing. Ask for more information in the reception or when checking in on how this works for your travel destination.
