Duty-free shopping on board

On board Fjord Line's international routes you'll find a duty-free shop with a wide range of products. Duty-free shopping is available on MS Stavangerfjord, MS Bergensfjord and Fjord FSTR on all international sailings.

What's in the duty-free shop?

Perfume and skincare A selection of perfume, skincare and cosmetics from international brands.

Chocolate and confectionery Norwegian and international products including chocolate and sweets.

Fashion and accessories (MS Stavangerfjord and MS Bergensfjord) Clothing, jewellery and accessories for the whole family.

Alcohol On board you'll find a range of beer, wine, champagne, fortified wine and spirits. Check the current allowances for what you can bring into Norway.

Food (Fjord FSTR) On board Fjord FSTR you'll also find a selection of fresh and frozen food products.

Important information about duty-free shopping

International sailings only The duty-free shop is only open on international routes: Bergen–Hirtshals, Stavanger–Hirtshals and Kristiansand–Hirtshals. The sale of duty-free goods is not permitted on the domestic Bergen–Stavanger route under Norwegian law.

Pre-ordering It is not possible to pre-order duty-free products. The shop is open on board during the crossing.

Remember your boarding pass You need to have your boarding pass with you to shop in the duty-free store. Your boarding pass is issued by Fjord Line staff at check-in and must be presented at the till when purchasing duty-free goods.

Fjord Club points Fjord Club points are not earned on purchases in the duty-free shop.

Tax refund – reclaim VAT on purchases in Norway

If you are a resident outside Norway, Sweden, Denmark and Finland, you may be able to reclaim VAT on goods purchased at GLOBAL BLUE partner shops in Norway when departing from Norway.

How it works:

  1. Ask the shop for a GLOBAL BLUE receipt.
  2. Present the goods and receipt on board MS Bergensfjord or MS Stavangerfjord.
  3. Receipts marked CUSTOMS must be stamped by Norwegian customs at the departure port and then returned to the shop.
